When I arrived at the Glenwood Springs CO store, the guy behind the counter warned me that people don’t like their prices.. but I needed my oil changed on vacation. So I told him didn’t mind the $96 charge. When I picked my car up another employee was very friendly and gave me some local advice. He’s the reason this got 2 stars. I wasn’t upset until I drove away and realized that despite the fact that they reset the oil change warning light, while they were staring at the washer fluid low indicator, they did not fill my washer fluid. Which makes me wonder what they actually did check. This is basic part of an oil change anywhere.. to top off these fluids, especially for $96. It is the season you most need this in Colorado and showed a lack of concern for the quality of work, and whether or not they wanted my business in the first place. As an older woman I did not appreciate the situation.
Thank you for sharing your experience with The Pit Stop Tire Pros, Lori. We appreciate your feedback and understand your concerns regarding the washer fluid not being topped off during your oil change. The basic package chosen only includes oil, oil filter, inspection of air filter, belt, coolant and tire pressure and tread check and courtesy windshield clean. This is our most basic service which excludes certain items in order to decrease overall price. The full service includes all fluids topped off and all gear boxes inspected as well. In the basic service we leave out the washer fluid since it is the easiest fluid to self service and include more pertinent checks like tire pressure and tread wear checks which apply directly to Colorado traction laws and highway safety. Additional items can be individually addressed at the request of the customer for any service, but is not automatically added without. As to the mention of high prices that was an address to the area in general being as expensive as it is in the Roaring Fork and Vail Valley resort areas. Sincerely, The Pit Stop Tire Pros
