I went here once before to have my oil changed. The man at the counter asked what I wanted, and I said the same thing as last time, and that my information was in the computer. My last bill was $60. I was notified that my car was ready and that my bill was $95. I asked why the cost was significantly more, and he, the owner, said that he knew I paid $60 last time, but that they had used conventional oil mistakenly. I said I didn’t want to pay $94, and that he should have asked me if I was willing to pay more prior to changing my oil. I asked to pay $60, and he said that if he took $28 off, I could « never come here again. » He also overfilled my coolant. He did not approach me prior to doing this either. He did several other unprofessional things.
We strive to always give our customers the best service in regards to the vehicle’s specifications and requirements. It was caught that the vehicle had received conventional oil in the previous visit, although the requirements for the engine’s specifications was synthetic. Therefore a synthetic oil was required at a minimum for the service. Although the customer wanted to just use conventional oil for their ongoing maintenance. When we had told the customer that synthetic is the required oil based on the manufacturer stated documentation the customer stated “those are just rules and I don’t believe in rules or the government”. But we have an obligation to put the correct fluids in a vehicle according to the manufacturer engineered specifications. We apply all aspects to maintain all manufacturer and third party warranties with no exception. If any request is made to deviate from those standards we can no longer agree to service. Hence why we can no longer provide service for this particular customer.
